Grit bins

Please note that, after the recent icy conditions, the grit bins around the village have all been replenished.  it is important that the grit in these bins is used only on the public highways – it is not provided for residents to use on their own private drives or pathways.  If the grit is misused, stocks may not be sufficient to clear icy roads when there is another cold snap.   Irresponsible use of the grit may put other people’s lives at risk.
